Owen then extended her scoring streak to 14-straight games with a goal from McTiernan at 25:07. McTiernan then notched a score of her own at 23:11 to push Virginia ahead, 4-1.

The Monarch’s halted UVa’s streak with a goal at 17:06, before back-to-back scores from Owen and McTiernan gave Virginia a 6-2 halftime lead.

Old Dominion scored the first goal out of the intermission at 26:40, but Boyle tallied her second score at 25:24. Another goal from the Monarchs cut Virginia’s lead back to three, 7-4, at 23:38, before Gardner got on the board at 14:07.
