The Staunton Augusta Art Center is accepting applications for the 48th Annual Art in the Park scheduled for May 24 and 25. The application deadline is April 1, 2014.

Art in the Park is a two-day festival of fine art and fine craft offered every memorial day weekend. Staunton’s historic, tree-lined park provides an intimate setting for artists and artisans to exhibit and to sell their work. Several cash awards are presented including the Ruth Owen Best-in-Show Awards in 2-D and 3-D categories. Best in Show winners are also offered the opportunity to exhibit their work in the Staunton Augusta Art Center galleries in the R.R. Smith Center for History and Art the following year.

Art in the Park is considered the signature event of the Staunton Augusta Art Center. There is no admission charge for festival goers and everyone is welcome. Art in the Park epitomizes the Staunton Augusta Art Center two-fold mission: to make the appreciation of art accessible to all and to support artists in the process by offering them venues to exhibit and to sell their work as well as to teach.

If there are any questions concerning the attached application, please contact the Staunton Augusta Art Center at 540-885-2028 or at [email protected].
