U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., will make a joint appearance with Beth Macy, the Democratic Party nominee in the Sixth District congressional race, on Sunday in Lexington.
The event will be held at the Virginia Horse Center, with a noon start time.
Macy can use all the help that she can get in the Sixth, which is, in normal times, a rather safe Republican district.
Not sure these are normal times, of course.

Kaine got 40.6 percent of the vote in the Sixth District in the 2024 cycle on his way to an easy re-election victory, outperforming the Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, by 3.3 points, and outperforming the Democratic congressional nominee, Ken Mitchell, by 5.8 points.
“Sen. Kaine has been a model statesman in Washington, as he daily stands up to President Trump’s dangerous domestic and foreign policies,” Macy said. “I am grateful for his early endorsement of me and his continued support as we prove that we can flip the Sixth.”
