Fun factoid from a recent ESPN column: the UVA Football roster will be the most experienced in the country this season.

The Virginia roster has registered 48,313 career FBS and FCS snaps.
Per ESPN, only five other programs crack the 40,000 mark.
Where this matters: for years, I’ve been saying that what makes it hard for Virginia to compete with the big boys is not so much the front-line talent, but depth – that it had proven to be hard to get 50-55 guys to flesh out a two-deep that could compete for four quarters with the 50-55 guys that Ohio State or ‘Bama can bring to the fight.
That problem seems to have been resolved.
