Author Michael McCray will be at the Augusta County Library in Fishersville on Tuesday to discuss his book, From Champlain to Pontchartrain: A Journey Through History Along one of America’s Great Highways – U.S. Rt. 11.

Seems like a neat topic, as Route 11 cuts through the heart of our area here.

Have to admit: I didn’t realize Route 11 ran all the way from the Canadian border in upstate New York to Louisiana within sight of New Orleans, covering 1,800 miles.

Tuesday’s event will begin at 6 p.m.
