Buckingham County: Three people ejected in fatal crash, 17-year-old teen dead

Charges are pending in a fatal single vehicle-crash that killed a 17-year-old passenger Wednesday night in Buckingham County.

Virginia State Police is investigating the accident that occurred at 8:35 p.m. at the intersection of Francisco Road and Concord Mountain Road.

An Acura RL was travelling westbound on Francisco Road when it crossed the center line, ran off of the left side of the road and struck some trees.

A 17-year-old front seat passenger in the vehicle was ejected and died at the scene.  The victim’s name has not been released.

A second 17-year-old passenger, seated in the back, was also ejected and suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Jaylin M. Gough, 20, of Farmville, was also ejected and suffered serious injuries.

The three occupants were not wearing seatbelts, according to VSP.

The crash remains under investigation.
