Chris Graham

tony kenny st. patrick's dayTony Kenny’s Irish Celebration will make a special stop at the Historic Wayne Theatre/Ross Performing Arts Center on Friday, March 11. The celebration includes music, dance, comedy and more – a true variety show straight from Dublin.

Prior to the show, the Wayne Theatre will host a family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day party. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for a festive event complete with Irish music, a photo booth, festive wearables and even green beer (available for sale at the concession stand).

“This is going to be a wonderful show for everyone,” said Tracy Straight, executive director of the Wayne Theatre/Ross Performing Arts Center. “This is the only family-friendly Saint Patrick’s Day celebration that we know of in the region.”

Kenny is one of Ireland’s most beloved artists, having sung in countless musical productions such as Joseph, starred in the world famous Jurys Irish Cabaret for more than 20 years with the legendary comedian, Hal Roach – Ireland’s King of Blarney, and won many awards for his work over the course of decades.

Kenny has entertained millions of people in Ireland, and across the U.S. in dozens of coast to coast tours, including Carnegie Hall.

Also appearing on the Irish Celebration showbill is Kenny’s daughter, Victoria Kenny, along with Seamus Kennedy, a 37-year veteran of the Irish/Celtic circuit, the Dublin Trinity Band, featuring Eimear Reilly and Ciaran Mitchell, one of Ireland’s top folk bands, and the Dublin City Dancers.
