Stuart, Nicholas RyanThe Waynesboro Police Department has charged a city man on domestic related offenses after two violent incidents over a two day period earlier in the month.  Officers charged Nicholas Ryan Stuart, 32 years old, with two felonies and a misdemeanor stemming from assaults on a family member at residence on Bridge Avenue.

In the first incident dated October 16, an officer went to the emergency department at Augusta Health to speak with the female victim.  She had injuries to her hand resulting from Stuart hitting her with a baby gate after an argument got violent. She received a fractured finger and bruising to her hand from that assault.  The officer obtained a felony warrant for Felonious Assault and an emergency protective order.  However, police were unable to locate Stuart to arrest him.

In the second incident date October 17, an officer spoke to the same victim about Stuart holding her against her will and assaulting her.  According to the victim, she and Stuart had another argument which resulted in him keeping her from leaving her residence and pushing her.  The second incident happened about 36 hours after the first incident. The officer obtained a felony warrant for Abduction and a misdemeanor warrant for Assault & Battery on a Family or Household Member.  Again, officers were unable to locate Stuart.
