Smith, Williams take top ACC honors

Nolan Smith was named the ACC Player of the Year, and Roy Williams of regular-season champ North Carolina was named the conference’s Coach of the Year in voting by members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.

Smith was joined by teammate Kyle Singler on the all-league first team along with Jordan Williams of Maryland, Malcolm Delaney of Virginia Tech and Reggie Jackson of Boston College.

jeff Allen of Virginia Tech earned second-team honors. Virginia didn’t land a player on any of the postseason All-ACC teams.
