There will be no tickets available to the general public for the March 18 exhibition game between Virginia Tech and the Yankees at English Field.
The school is making 3,000 free general-admission tickets available to students enrolled on April 16, 2007, the day of the mass tragedy on the Virginia Tech campus that left 33 dead. Another 1,000 free general-admission tickets will be available for full-time faculty and staff. The remaining tickets will be distributed to individuals and groups affected by the events of 4/16.
There are plans to try to have the game televised in Virginia, according to a Virginia Tech sports department news release.
