National Geographic Channel’s first original scripted drama, “Killing Lincoln,” shot in Petersburg and Richmond this summer, is set to premiere during Presidents Day weekend on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and will encore at 10 p.m.

WTA’s Gateway has arranged for the return of The Richmond Comedians on Saturday, January 26. In celebration of their return the cover charge will be $5 instead of the usual $10. The performance will be emceed by Michal Ketner with Corey Marshall and David Wingfield. The performance begins at 8 pm at 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.

To move forward to North Dakota State’s back-to-back FCS national championships, you have to move backward with coach Craig Bohl. Bohl was an assistant coach during Nebraska’s big run in the mid-1990s, including two of the Cornhuskers’ national championship seasons. Junior Sherrod Wright sank a 3-pointer from the top of the key as the final horn expired, lifting the George Mason men’s basketball team to a 67-64 victory over the University of Richmond Saturday afternoon. Richmond guard Kendall Anthony converted one of two free throw attempts with 4.7 seconds left to pull out an 83-82 overtime win against James Madison in a non-conference basketball game Saturday night at the JMU Convocation Center.

The Richmond Raiders have inked five players to preseason contracts including one returning player from the 2012 PIFL runner-up and four newcomers to the team. They represent a mixture of veterans and younger players who Head Coach James Fuller believes will provide additional quality up and down the roster.
