The Richmond Flying Squirrels (20-20) plated the final three runs of the ballgame to overtake the Altoona Curve (19-23) and claim a, 5-3, win in front of 7,178 at The Diamond on Saturday night. With the win, the Squirrels pulled even in the three-game series.

The Altoona Curve (19-22) bested the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 2-1, in a well-played ballgame in front of 8,632 at The Diamond on Friday night. With the win, the Curve improved to 7-4 against the Squirrels as the two teams began their fourth series against each other on the year.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels (19-19) turned aside a comeback bid and defeated the Harrisburg Senators (18-22), 7-6, on Wednesday afternoon at Metro Bank Park. With the victory, the Squirrels grabbed the series as well, claiming two-of-three from the Senators.

The Harrisburg Senators (18-21) brushed aside the Richmond Flying Squirrels (18-19), 8-1, on Tuesdaynight at Metro Bank Park. The win allowed Harrisburg to level the series at a game apiece, turning Wednesday’s series finale into a rubber match.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels (17-18) let one slip through their fingertips, dropping the finale of a four-game set, 2-1, to the Altoona Curve on Sunday afternoon at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The Curve plated the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning courtesy of a walk and a defensive error. Altoona also grabbed the series, taking three-of-four from the Squirrels as Richmond’s road record dropped to 5-12.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels (17-17) and Altoona Curve (15-21) split a double header at Peoples Natural Gas Field in front of 4,604 on Saturday night. The Squirrels grabbed the opener, 5-0, and the Curve responded in the second game, 5-3.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels (16-16) were done in by three defensive errors and five unearned runs as they fell to the Altoona Curve, 9-8, in a wild series opener in front of 2,250 at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Thursday night. The game featured seven lead changes, 17 total runs and 27 total hits. The three errors charged to the Squirrels were the difference, and the only miscues for either team.
