The Lynchburg Hillcats had six hitters contribute an RBI in a 6-4 win over the Potomac Nationals in Sunday afternoon’s rubber match at City Stadium. Starter Ryan Weber retired 15 straight hitters at one point en route to his second win of the season. The Hillcats scored three runs in the fifth thanks to a sacrifice fly from Kyle Kubitza and RBI-singles from David Rohm and Luis De La Cruz.

The Lynchburg Hillcats picked up their first shutout of the 2013 season, a 4-0 win over Myrtle Beach, in Wednesday’s matinee at City Stadium. David Peterson threw 4.2 shutout innings in his first professional start and the bullpen went the rest of the way without allowing a hit to clinch the series victory with a chance for their first series sweep of the season in Thursday’s series finale.

In recognition of Virginia’s strong entrepreneurial environment, the statewide challenge will spotlight the best business plans or concepts crafted by undergraduate students this year. Public and private Virginia colleges and universities are invited to send their top presenters to Richmond for the Governor’s Business Plan Challenge.
