The UVa.-Radford baseball game, scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday (April 15), has been cancelled because of inclement weather. In that game’s place, #1 Virginia will play William & Mary at 6 p.m. Wednesday (April 16) at Davenport Field.

JMU rallied from a two-run deficit in the ninth inning on a tying two-run double from senior second baseman Conner Brown (Richmond, Va./Godwin) and redshirt sophomore Kyle Weston(Penn Laird, Va./Spotswood) singled in the winning run for a 9-8 win over William and Mary after dropping the first game of a doubleheader 13-5 on Saturday at Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park.

On Friday, Virginia Tech hired former Marquette head coach Buzz Williams as their new leader. Williams led Marquette to the Elite Eight in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. He was 139-65 in six seasons at Marquette.
