Gov.-elect Terry McAuliffe announced additional appointments to his administration today, including the appointment of Carlos Hopkins as Counsel to the Governor and additional appointments to the Governor’s Office and Cabinet. The appointees will join McAuliffe’s administration focused on finding common ground with members of both parties on issues that will grow Virginia’s economy and create more jobs across the Commonwealth.

WTA’s Gateway will present its first performance of the Custin Jazz Series on Saturday, Jan 11. Featured will be trumpeter John D’earth and his band. The performance is at 8 pm at what was voted “the best intimate music venue in the Valley”. WTA’s Gateway is at 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.

Despite never trailing in Friday’s non-conference game against Virginia University of Lynchburg, the Runnin Royals were happy just to get out with the win, taking a 78-70 decision in Yoder Arena. EMU improves to 6-4 on the year in advance of their final non-ODAC game Monday night against Goucher.
