James Madison University has announced the hiring of Richard Long to serve as the head coach of the Dukes’ swimming and diving program. Long, a native of Hampton, Va., comes to JMU from Auburn University where he served as an assistant coach for seven years.

Bridgewater College welcomes four new full-time faculty members for the 2013-14 academic year. The faculty members, who will arrive on campus in late August for meetings before the start of classes on Sept. 3, will join the departments of chemistry, English, mathematics and computer science, and philosophy and religion.
