The following is a list of highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton District during the coming weeks. The Staunton District consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley.

The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week. Traffic movements may be restricted and speed limits reduced in work zones.

The Park & Ride lot along Route 257 (Friedens Church Road) in Rockingham County is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, through 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 7. The 38-space lot is located just west of the Interstate 81 interchange at exit 240 in the Mount Crawford area.

High winds are affecting much of the commonwealth, with downed trees and signs, debris in roadways and issues with traffic signals being reported in many areas.

The following is a list of highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton District during the coming weeks. The Staunton District consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley: Alleghany, Bath, Rockbridge, Highland, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Shenandoah, Frederick, Clarke and Warren.

The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) awarded three contracts worth approximately $20.3 million for major infrastructure improvements in the Lynchburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week.

The Commonwealth Transportation Board approved 23 contracts at their monthly meeting Wednesday totaling $167.5 million for projects and paving in the VDOT Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Salem and Staunton districts.

White Hall District supervisor Ann Mallek has announced her 22nd series of town halls. Citizens are invited to present and discuss issues of concern and may attend any of the three meetings, as best fits their schedule.
