Portion of Route 56 in Nelson County closing for several days in June

road work transportationWork on the CSX railroad crossing on Route 56 in the Wingina area of Nelson County near the Buckingham County line will require the closure of that portion of Route 56 for several days in early June.

CSX will close the crossing beginning at 7 am on Monday, June 4 and will reopen it by 5 pm on Thursday, June 7.

A signed detour will be in place using Routes 29 and 60.
