Heifetz on Tour is delighted to announce a performance in Waynesboro on Wednesday, April 30 at the historic United Methodist Church on West Main Street.

No one can fault Richard Adams for failing to make the most imaginative combinations for his monthly Variety Show. “You get your money’s worth in the first five minutes and the rest is free,” said one loyal patron.

The first history lecture for 2014 at WTA’s Gateway will be a presentation by photographer/historian Airisun Wonderli on Swannanoa, the gilded-age mansion that sits atop Afton Mountain. The Thursday, January 16 lecture will be at 7 pm and will feature selected photographs from Wonderli’s new publication, Swannanoa Palace: A Pictorial History—Its Past and People.

To celebrate the New Year, Richard Adams has collected a host of talent for his Jan. 3 Variety Show. Performing on this one-time event will be The Harrington Family, The Alexander Sisters, the Bonos and students from the Shenandoah Valley Governors School’ production of Pippin. Richard promises you will be amazed and delighted by the talented collection.

The Gateway Theatre in Waynesboro hosts a special dessert version of the River City Radio Hour to celebrate the season. The performances will feature some of the Radio Hour’s favorite performers.

The scheduled Friday and Saturday performances of D.D. Delaney’s “Concise Christmas Carol” at the WTA’s Gateway Theatre in Waynesboro have been canceled due to transportation issues.

The Wayne Theatre Alliance’s Gateway will bring The Concise Dickens’ Christmas Carol as part of WTA’s holiday entertainment. The seasonal favorite of Hampton Roads’ audiences will be presented on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Advanced tickets for The Concise Dickens’ Christmas Carol are available for $5 for children under 12 and $10 for adults.

“At the close of the October Radio Hour, one of our long-time fans said she loved the show, but wish we had more time with Boogie Kings,” says Clair Myers producer of the River City Radio Hour. “We promise you, she will get her wish in November.”
