With a 74-57 victory over UNCW on Tuesday night at the JMU Convocation Center, the James Madison women’s basketball team became the third program in the country to reach the 1,000 wins mark. JMU joins Tennessee and Louisiana Tech as the only programs to reach the elite plateau.

In the final non-conference game of the season, No. 24 James Madison women’s basketball suffered a 66-62 setback at Vanderbilt on Monday night at Memorial Gymnasium despite a career high 21 points by junior guard Ashley Perez (Manchester, Conn./Manchester (St. John’s)).

Opening the game on a 25-7 run, the James Madison women’s basketball team cruised to an 85-53 victory over Hampton on Saturday afternoon at the JMU Convocation Center.

No. 23 JMU women’s basketball earned an 84-60 win over Houston in the final game of the San Juan Shootout at the Mario Morales Coliseum on Saturday.
