Delegate Dickie Bell, R-Staunton, announced Thursday that he has been chosen by the Speaker of the House of Delegates to represent the Commonwealth at the 64th Annual Southern Regional Education Board’s Annual Legislative Work Conference. The conference will take place in Napels, Florida from June 27 through June 29.

Friends of Augusta, with Friends of Nelson, Free Nelson, Augusta County Alliance, Wild Virginia, Pipeline Education Group, and Chesapeake Bay Group Sierra Club are together sponsoring Music for the Mountains, an anti-pipeline music festival, on July 18th.

As president of Friends of Augusta, I found it necessary to attend a day of demonstration outside of FERC, not only because of my strong opposition to the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline, but also because of how flawed the process of approving pipelines is.
