In our highly partisan environment there seems to be very few issues that Republicans, Independents and Democrats agree on. This partisanship is easily seen in Congress but is also alive with voters across the country. Small business owners are often no different than their customers in demonstrating divergent opinions on issues depending on their political preferences.

Augusta Health employees earn certifications

During the first quarter of 2013, 19 Augusta Health employees earned national certifications in their areas of expertise, and two finished a Master’s degree. Certifications require demonstration of extensive knowledge in a subject area, usually by examination, and degrees require a commitment of years of study and commitment.

VMI baseball tops William and Mary, 6-2

Ray Lopez went 3 for 4 with two RBI and two runs scored, T.J. Lighton pitched four scoreless innings to earn his first career win and John Garrett pitched three scoreless innings to close out the game as the VMI Keydets defeated the William & Mary Tribe, 6-2, in non-conference baseball action Wednesday in Williamsburg, Va. The win was VMI’s second victory in its last three trips to Plumeri Park, after never having won at W&M’s home facility in the park’s previous 12 years of existence.

Sony’s recent conference about their eighth generation console, the PlayStation 4, has gotten us Microsoft fans wondering what Xbox has in store for us with the Xbox 720. The original Xbox’s superiority to the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox 360’s superiority to the PlayStation 3 leads me to believe that the trend will continue. In this column, I will be predicting what we can expect to see in the Xbox 720 (codename Durango).
