The Virginia Department of Transportation has set up detour routes for motorists using Route 39 (Maury River Road) in Rockbridge County beginning Monday, July 14.

Emergency repair work on a washed-out portion of Route 39 (Maury River Road) in Rockbridge County began mid-day Saturday. Contractors will work around the clock, and hope to have the road back open on Thursday (June 26, 2014). All work is weather permitting.

Seven state police and highway patrol agencies spent Friday, June 13, 2014, through Sunday, June 15, 2014, enforcing Operation Border to Border along approximately 791 miles of U.S. Route 15 and 124 miles of U.S. Route 17.
