The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week.

Road conditions in the Shenandoah Valley and Alleghany Highlands are steadily improving as of mid-day Monday. The region received up to 18 inches of snow, with the highest totals in Alleghany, Rockbridge, Bath and Augusta counties.

Snow is tapering off in central and southern portions of the Shenandoah Valley leaving many roads snow covered. Travel is not advised in the area.

Snow continues through many areas in the Commonwealth of Virginia today. In the Shenandoah Valley no snow has fallen in the Winchester and Frederick County area and in the Lexington Rockbridge County area heavy snow has fallen for most of the day.

Moderate to heavy snowfall is making roadways slick in the central and southern Shenandoah Valley. By late morning Sunday, some areas have reported four inches of snow.
