The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week. Traffic movements may be restricted and speed limits reduced in work zones. (NEW) or (UPDATE) indicate revisions since last week’s report.

Albemarle County
Interstate 64 – Sign installation eastbound and westbound near mile marker 120. Right shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Interstate 64 – Sign installation in both directions near mile marker 124. Right shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 20 (Stony Point Road) – Shoulder repairs between Route 1422 (Dorrier Drive) and Route 1493 (Franklin Drive). Left lane and shoulder closed Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Route 29/250 Bypass – Sign work at Route 654 (Barracks Road). Right shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route 29 (Seminole Trail) – Signal work at Route 643 (Polo Grounds Road). Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(UPDATE) Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway) – Tree trimming operations between Route 1102 (Michie Tavern Lane) and Route 732 (Milton Road). Expect lane closures Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
(UPDATE) Route 678 (Ridge Road) – Remains closed to through traffic due to flood damage. All private entrances are open, use alternate routes.
(NEW) Route 855 (Faulconer Drive) – Road closed to through traffic on Monday and Tuesday for a pipe replacement. Access will be maintained at all private entrances along Route 855. Use alternate routes.
Route 1521 (Timberwood Parkway) – Hollymead Dam Reinforcement Project. Northbound lane closed under VDOT permit from Shadybrook Trail to Cove Pointe Road. Follow signed detour.
Culpeper County
(NEW) Route 15 (James Madison Highway) – Sign installation north and southbound near the intersection of Route 667 (Greens Corner Road). Right shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 15/29 (James Madison Highway) – Sign installation southbound near the exit ramp of Route 15 (James Madison Highway). Right shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 626 (Holly Springs Road) – Pipe installation between Route 639 (Holly Springs Road) and Route 624 (Sheads Mountain Road). All lanes closed. Use alternate routes Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(NEW) Route 643 (South Merrimac Road) – Pipe installation between Route 1145 (Store Road) and Route 645 (Kirtley Trail). All lanes closed. Use alternate routes Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Fauquier County
Route 15/17/29 (Eastern Bypass) – Shoulder closures in both directions near Route 880 (Lord Fairfax Drive) for Warrenton Southern Interchange project. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(NEW) Business Route 29 (Lee Highway) – Ditch cleaning operations between Route 15/29 (Lee Highway) and Route 17 (James Madison Highway). Left shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(NEW) Route 55 (East Main Street) – Shoulder repairs between Route 1001 (Old Stockyard Road) and Route 600 (Beverleys Mill Road). Alternating lane closures controlled by flagging operations Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(NEW) Frontage Route 185 (Grove Lane) – Shoulder repairs between Route 713 (Maidstone Road) and Business Route 17 (West Main Street). Alternating lane closures controlled by flagging operations. Use caution when traveling through work zones Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(NEW) Route 674 (Green Road) – Pipe installation between Route 643 (Meetze Road) and Route 616 (Beach Road). All lanes closed. Use alternate routes Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Route 880 (Lord Fairfax Drive) – Shoulder closures in both directions near Route 15/17/29 (Eastern Bypass) for Warrenton Southern Interchange project. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(NEW) Route 1550 (Wellington Drive) – Pipe installation between Route 678 (Old Waterloo Road) and Route 1551 (Fusilier Drive). All lanes closed. Use alternate routes Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fluvanna County
(UPDATE) Route 15 (James Madison Highway) – Tree trimming between Route 631 (Hunters Lodge Road) and Route 250 (Three Notch Road). Expect intermittent lane closures Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route 629 (Deep Creek Road) – Rehabilitating bridge over Middle Fork Kent Branch near Route 631 (Dogwood Drive). Road closed to through traffic. Follow signed detour. Anticipated completion Oct. 2019.
Madison County
(NEW) Route 29 (South Seminole Trail) – Tree trimming operations between Route 626 (Gibbs Road) and Route 9731 (Mountaineer Road). Left lane closed. Expect delays Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
(NEW) Route 29 (South Seminole Trail) – Tree trimming operations between Route 230 (Orange Road) and Business Route 29 (North Main Street). Right lane closed. Expect delays Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rappahannock County
(NEW) Route 211 (Lee Highway) – Shoulder repairs between Route 642 (Viewtown Road) and the Culpeper County line. Eastbound right shoulder and right lane closed. Use caution when traveling through work zones Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
(NEW) Route 211 (Lee Highway) – Tree removal operations between Route 613 (Waterloo Road) and Route 639 (Weaver Road). Westbound right lane and right shoulder closed for a mobile work zone. Expect delays Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route 211/522 (Lee Highway) – Westbound bridge replacement over the North Fork Thornton River. Westbound bridge closed to traffic. Follow temporary traffic pattern. Westbound traffic will use eastbound left lane. Anticipated completion July 2019.
