The Waynesboro Generals and WSVA-550AM are teaming up to bring fans an exciting Generals Game of the Week package this summer. WSVA will broadcast nine Generals home games, beginning opening weekend, Sunday, June 2, when Waynesboro hosts the New Market Rebels at Kate Collins Field.

Virginia Republicans formally nominated Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to run for governor in 2013, and added as his ticketmates Mark Obenshain, a Harrisonburg state senator, as the attorney-general nominee, and E.W. Freshman starter J.T. Root (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) tossed five scoreless innings while junior Tyler Gregory (Dothan, Ala./Houston Academy) and senior Casey Goss (Springfield, Mo./Glenville) each homered with a combined nine RBIs as James Madison topped Liberty 13-4 in its final regular season home game at Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park on Tuesday.
