As expected, Duke Energy has selected Dominion Resources and its subsidiaries to build and operate a massive new natural gas pipeline slicing through the heart of central Appalachia and Virginia’s Southside.

Four major U.S. energy companies – Dominion (NYSE: D), Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK), Piedmont Natural Gas (NYSE: PNY) and AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS) – announced today the formation of a joint venture to build and own the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline.

Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near Eastern and South and Central Asian Affairs, concluded a two-day visit to Tunisia. Kaine is leading a Congressional delegation to Tunisia, Morocco and Spain.
