
Bridgewater College joins statewide campaign to prevent dating violence

Jack Hamilton, author of Just around Midnight: Rock and Roll and the Racial Imagination, will speak Thursday, Oct. 6, in Cole Hall at Bridgewater College.

Bridgewater College has selected Milton Franklin to join the college as chief of police and director of campus safety and emergency management.

Ted Swartz of Ted & Co. will present Bridgewater College’s Fall Spiritual Focus on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the Carter Center for Worship and Music.

Dr. Bennet Omalu will present an endowed lecture at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Nininger Hall at Bridgewater College.

Concussion, starring Will Smith portraying Dr. Bennet Omahu, who brought the issue of brain damage in retired NFL players to the forefront, will be shown at Bridgewater College.

Enrollment at Bridgewater College is higher than at any other time in its history, with overall total enrollment at 1,894.

Dr. Jennifer McQuiston, a specialist in outbreak investigations who spent time in West Africa during the Ebola epidemic, will speak at Bridgewater College.

A business expo designed to help connect Bridgewater College students with local businesses and residents will be held Sept. 7.
