Woodrow Wilson Library celebrating National Park Service

woodrow wilsonOn August 25, 1916 President Woodrow Wilson created the National Park Service as a separate agency to manage the nation’s national parks and monuments.

In celebration of the upcoming National Park Service Centennial, the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library is pleased to host Shenandoah National Park Interpretative Park Ranger, Michael Punches, as he presents “Celebrating 100 Years of Service, a Century of Stewardship of America’s National Parks.”

The program, intended to inspire people of all ages to connect with, enjoy, and support America’s national parks is free and open to the public and scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 24th at 7:00 pm in the Library and Research Center on the campus of the Presidential Library .

The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library is open daily March through December and Thursday through Monday during the months of January and February for guests from around the world to tour the President’s Birthplace, the Museum, the historic gardens, and to visit the President’s Shop.
