UVA women’s basketballThe UVA women’s basketball team (2-2) hosts the annual Cavalier Classic Tournament this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24-25, at John Paul Jones Arena.

Noting the Cavaliers

  • Virginia has won the battle of the boards in all four games this season
  • Junior guard Dominique Toussaint (Staten Island, N.Y.) has scored in double figures in three of the four games this season. Toussaint led all scorers with 19-point s against Mississippi State and again with 18 against NC A&T
  • Toussaint is averaging 18.5 ppg at JPJ this season
  • Sophomore guard Brianna Tinsley (Madison, Va.) scored 10 points against NC A&T, the third double-digit scoring game of her career
  • Junior guard Jocelyn Willoughby (East Orange, N.J.) has scored 14 points in each of the last two games
  • After going 1-of-4 from the free throw line in the opener against Mississippi State, Willoughby has not missed an attempt, going 11-of-11 in the last three games
  • In the last two games, Willoughby has scored a combiner 28 points with 14 rebounds and seven assists
  • Junior forward Lisa Jablonowski (Ernster, Luxembourg) is averaging 6.0 ppg in her last two games
  • Senior forward Mone Jones (Durham, N.C.) is averaging 6.8 ppg this season after coming in averaging 2.0 ppg in her Cavalier career
  • Junior center Felicia Aiyeotan (Lagos, Nigeria) is averaging 3.25 blocked shots per game. She currently leads the ACC and is ranked eighth nationally
