The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro that will be in effect from 6 p.m. Sunday overnight into the 9 a.m. hour on Monday.
Sustained winds from the west in the 20- to 30-mph range are forecast, with gusts up to 50 mph mainly above 1,500-foot elevations also possible.
After an unseasonably warm day on Sunday, with highs in the area in the mid-60s, temperatures are expected to moderate to seasonal levels overnight, with a forecast low of 31, according to AccuWeather.com, which also forecasts a Monday high temperature of 37 and a Tuesday high at 44.
