Who’s next? WWE looking to sign Goldberg for WrestleMania 31

Chris Graham

goldbergBill Goldberg indicated earlier this week that he would be interested in returning to the ring for WrestleMania 31. It now appears that the interest is mutual.

WWE officials are talking internally about getting Goldberg back into the fold this year to begin a long walkup to a top spot for the former WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 31. The plan is to get Goldberg into the upcoming release of the WWE 2K15 video game, announce that news around SummerSlam, and use the release of the news about Goldberg’s involvement in the video game in an angle that would lead to a match at WrestleMania.

Goldberg, 47, last wrestled in 2004. The former NFL player has since served as a commentator on MMA broadcasts and the host of Garage Mahal on the DIY network.
