The Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 12th concert season on Oct. 25 with Vivaldi ‘s “Four Seasons” and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, “The Pastorale.”

Other concerts on the schedule for the 2008-2009 year include “A Salute to the Presidency” Feb. 7-8 that will include Copland’s “Lincoln Portrait,” and an April 4-5 concert titled “Times 2 Share” that will feature a Mozart concerto for violin and viola and Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony.

“This year’s concert series will be another milestone for the WSO,” Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra president Charles Salembier said. “After 12 years, the orchestra still continues to provide beautiful symphonic music at no cost to the community, while attracting ever-more-talented soloists and professional musicians.”

The WSO is also launching a new website, WaynesboroSymphonyOrchestra.org, and is offering advertising opportunities to local businesses in its concert programs for the first time this year.

For more information on advertising with WSO or sponsoring a concert, please contact Charles Salembier at [email protected] or call 540.942.3828.
