Waynesboro Schools hold Multicultural Festival: Brave move, in current environment

At the risk of stating the obvious, it’s at least possible that two members of Waynesboro City Council want to call the Trump regime over the Multicultural Festival that Waynesboro Public Schools held at Kate Collins Middle School on Tuesday.

You know that at least one MAGA parent thinks their precious little Dylann or Brittneigh was psychologically scarred at the event, which WPS described in a press release as highlighting “the strength of community within Waynesboro Public Schools and the importance of creating spaces where all cultures are celebrated and honored.”

“This event was a powerful reflection of the diversity within our schools and our community,” said Kendra Jones Carter, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Waynesboro Public Schools.

Cue the outrage machine yet again.

WPS has a director of DEI?

Defund the schools!

“It was incredible to see students, families, and staff come together to celebrate culture, build connections, and learn from one another,” Jones Carter said.

You know which two I’m talking about.

The two looking for any excuse to defund the schools.

Good on WPS for telling them where to stick it.
