Calendar 2013The library will be closed on February 19.

Tuesday, February 5, 10:00 a.m. – Game Party. Get your game on and join the party. Bring your favorite table game or use our Scrabble games and enjoy some snacks.

Friday, February 8, 6:30 p.m. – Friday Night at the Movies. Showing new releases on the big screen. Free popcorn and drinks. Check at the library for the featured film.

Tuesday, February 12, 12:00 p.m. – Music at the Library featuring the Pat Cantrell duo. Bring your lunch and enjoy free soda.

Thursday, February 14, 4:00 p.m. – Trains and Things. Dale Wilson Diacont, an engineer for CSX discusses his book, Yesterday’s Trains Across the Commonwealth. Book sales and signings are included.

Wednesday, February 20, 7:00 p.m. – Book Club. Fascinating and far ranging discussion with other book lovers. The book is provided, participants vote on selections, and a staff member leads the discussion. This month it’s your choice of preselected books about presidents’ wives.

Saturday, February 23, 12:00 p.m. – KayDee Puppets presents Jack and the Beanstalk and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Tuesday, February 26, 6:00 p.m. – Pajama Night. Come in your jammies for some bedtime fun – a story, crafts, games and more. Great for preschool and early elementary children.

Thursday, February 28, 2:00 p.m. – Heart Health by Dr. Pillai from Augusta Health

Friday, February 28, 6:30 p.m. – Friday Night at the Movies. Showing new releases on the big screen. Free popcorn and drinks. Check at the library for the featured film.

 

Weekly

Tuesday

9:30-11:30 a.m. Chat-N-Play provides interactive play for your little one and conversation for you. Open to children ages 0-3 and their caregivers.

 

Wednesday

9:30 a.m.  Mother Goose Time is an interactive program featuring songs, finger-plays, books, movements, and nursery rhymes for children from birth through age two and their caregivers.

10:30 a.m.  Story Time features books, stories, songs, puppets, flannel board activities, and crafts for children ages two through five accompanied by an adult.

 

Thursday

9:30 a.m.  Mamá Ganso, mother Goose in Spanish, features stories, songs, finger-plays, and movements for children from birth through age two and their caregivers.

10:30 a.m.  Story Time

1:00 p.m.  Story Time

2:00 p.m.  Mother Goose
