Waynesboro Police investigate vehicle vandalisms

Chris Graham

policecar3The Waynesboro Police Department is investigating a rash of vandalism that is believed to have occurred overnight in the 700 block of Florence Avenue, near its intersection with Bridge Avenue.

Altogether at least 10 vehicles parked on the street or off of the alley running behind Florence have been reported with damage. The destruction of property likely exceeds $10, 000.00 and includes slashed tires, body dents or gouges, as well as several busted windows. No thefts have been reported so it appears that the damage was inflicted out of wanton disregard.

The Waynesboro Police Department is requesting persons with information about this crime to contact the department at 540-942-6675 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322- 2017.
