Waynesboro man arrested on drug charges

policeA Waynesboro man was arrested Wednesday after police found drugs and a stash of cash while executing a narotics-related search warrant.

Carlin Rochea Adams, 38, was charged with felony possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, and felony possess with intent to distribute marijuana.

Members of the Waynesboro Police Department Special Operations Division, assisted by SWAT and Investigations, executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 1300 block of East Main Street on Wednesday. During the course of the search, detectives recovered approximately 3 ounces of crack cocaine, 2 ounces of marijuana and other evidence consistent with distribution of narcotics, including over $37,000 cash.

Adams appeared before the state magistrate and was subsequently released on a $1,500 bond pending court.
