Waynesboro Lions Club Supports DSMP

AFP

wscDon Short from the Waynesboro Lions Club presented a check from the Club to Disease Self Management Program leaders Brandy Wade, Sandy Ellinger, and Beth Scripps on April 16 to support their DSMP workshop being held at Waynesboro Senior Center.

The Lions Club likes to do outreach in vision programs, and because Diabetes often leads to vision issues, the Club felt that the DSMP workshop supported their mission. A picture of the check presentation was taken and submitted to the News Virginian newspaper with a brief article about DSMP by wsc Center Director Karen Hurt.
