Waynesboro’s win in the Valley League finals last week has propelled the Generals into the top 10 of the national summer-league baseball rankings.
The Generals stand at sixth in the PGCrosschecker.com Summer 16 poll after taking the league title in four games over 2006 Valley champ Luray.
Waynesboro was also the best team in the Valley in the 2007 regular season – finishing with a 30-13 record.
Waynesboro had been ranked 13th in last week’s national poll.
The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod League were ranked #1 in the poll.
