Human remains were found early Friday morning in Waynesboro in a fire, according to the police department.
The Waynesboro Police Department and Waynesboro Fire Department responded to the structure fire in the 200 block of Bookerdale Road at 5:39 a.m. on Friday.
During the preliminary investigation, human remains were discovered inside the structure, according to the PD.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
