Waynesboro Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Ajemian passes away

ajemianChuck Ajemian, Waynesboro’s Commonwealth’s Attorney since 1997, died Wednesday morning at his home, according to a press release from the Waynesboro Police Department.

Ajemian had been battling an undisclosed illness for several months.

“Since his election as Commonwealth’s Attorney in 1997, he faithfully served the citizens of Waynesboro. His honesty, integrity, and dedication to serving justice will be greatly missed,” the police department said in a statement.

Ajemian is survived by his wife, Anne Marie, and five sons, Charles, J.C., Eric, Lucas, and Jason.
