The Nats (58-40) got seven solid innings from Max Scherzer (10-6, 2.92 ERA, 0.94 WHIP), who gave up two runs on four hits, striking out 10 without issuing a walk.

Daniel Murphy (.349/.388/.611, 19 HR, 71 RBI) had an RBI sacrifice fly in the third for Washington, and Ben Revere (.216/.263/.303, 2 HR, 20 RBI) tied the game in the fifth with a run-scoring double.

Jonathan Papelbon (2-2, 2.56 ERA, 1.17 WHIP) got the win in relief, giving up a run and walking a batter in the ninth ahead of the walk-off hit.
