Lime Kiln Arts wants … you.

The nonprofit will be holding its annual volunteer drive at the Theater at Lime Kiln in Lexington on Tuesday from 5-7:30 p.m.

“Our FOLK, the Friends of Lime Kiln, make the operation work,” theater executive director Kim Renz said. “With them, Lime Kiln is the principle venue for music and theatre in Rockbridge County all summer. Without them, Lime Kiln does not exist.”

Friends of Lime Kiln perform duties including ushering at concerts and plays, parking cars, running concession stands and selling tickets to clerical work, stuffing envelopes and working backstage.

“Now that we are remounting our production ‘machine,’ volunteers are more important than ever. We are rebuilding as community theatre, and we hope that anyone interested in performing, learning about lighting, sound, costuming and scenery will join our operation,” Renz said.

For more information about the gathering and to RSVP, contact Lime Kiln Arts chair Joanne Peretti at 540.464.1422.
