
VMI (21-12) advanced to the quarterfinals after another 100-point effort, topping Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne 106-95 Saturday afternoon. The Keydets were led by 41 points from senior guard D.J. Covington, a CIT single-game record. The Keydets are averaging 108.5 points per game in the CIT, including a 111-100 win over Canisius College in the first round.
Ticket prices for the game have been set by Ohio at $10 for all seating. Fans can purchase tickets online or by calling 1-800-575-2287. The Ohio ticket office will be open at 8:30 a.m.
The two teams have met just once, with the Bobcats winning the Feb. 1, 1972 game 98-60 in Athens.The Keydets are 1-0 against Ohio-based schools this season, topping Wright State University 94-74 in Lexington on Dec. 7.
