A Petersburg man was killed when his motorcycle was clipped by a SUV late Friday night on the ramp from westbound Interstate 64 to southbound Interstate 95 in Richmond.

Per a report from the Virginia State Police, the accident is thought to have occurred between 11:20 p.m. and 11:27 p.m.

VSP says its investigation indicates that a dark-colored SUV struck the 2025 Harley-Davidson FLTRX motorcycle being driven by Ashtain Noel Davis, 28, of Petersburg, who succumbed to injuries at the scene of the crash.

Investigators believe the SUV may also have struck a Toyota Camry before leaving the scene.

Based on witness information and debris recovered at the scene, the SUV may be a dark blue or black 2014–2019 Jeep Cherokee or Compass.

It may have minor front- and rear-end damage and a missing mirror.

Anyone with information about the crash or the SUV is asked to call Virginia State Police Division 1 dispatch at 804-750-8758, dial #77 from a cellphone, or email [email protected].
