Virginia maintains #5 spot in national polls

virginia basketballVirginia is holding steady at #5 in the Associated Press and USA Today polls, released on Monday.

The Cavs (10-1) won their only game last week, rallying to defeat Cal, 63-62, in overtime on Dec. 22. The win was the ninth in a row for UVA since losing to George Washington on Nov. 16.

Michigan State (13-0) remained at #1 in both polls after the Spartans’ 99-93 overtime win over Oakland on Dec. 22. Next up for Oakland (7-4) is a game at Virginia on Wednesday.
