Virginia Lottery: Winning ticket numbers announced for New Year’s Millionaire Raffle

new year millionaire raffle virginia lottery Five Virginians can now call themselves millionaires after the Virginia Lottery announced the winning ticket numbers in its annual New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.

Unfortunately, there weren’t any $1 million or $100,000 tickets sold in the immediate area, but don’t throw away your tickets just yet.

In addition to the larger prizes, 1,000 tickets each won $500. The winning ticket numbers for the five hundred bucks are posted online.

The winning $1 million tickets were sold in Alexandria, Burke, Bealeton, Hopewell and Madison.

Seven additional tickets won $100,000. The $100K winning tickers were sold in Hampton, Leesburg, Manassas, Montvale, Richmond, Stafford and Winchester.

On Jan. 1, 2025, a $1 million New Year’s Millionaire Raffle ticket was sold at the Food Lion at 30 Windward Drive in Fishersville. A Charlottesville ticket also won $100,000.

All profits go to K-12 education in Virginia. The lottery raised more than $901 million for K-12 education in the last fiscal year, making up approximately 10 percent of Virginia’s total K-12 school budget.
