Virginia Lottery: New Year’s raffle ticket purchased in Augusta County wins $1 million

If you live or travel in Augusta County and purchased a New Year’s Millionaire Raffle ticket, you might want to check your numbers today. It appears one local person is among five new millionaires in Virginia.

A ticket purchased in Fishersville for the game is worth $1 million, the Virginia Lottery confirmed this afternoon.

The $1M winning ticket was purchased at the Food Lion at 30 Windward Drive in Fishersville.

The winning Augusta County ticket was number 229618.

The four additional tickets worth $1 million each were sold in Herndon, Ashburn, Moneta and Henrico.

Seven additional tickets each won $100,000 including one sold at an Exxon in Charlottesville.

  • Ticket #533140 (7-Eleven, 3310 Church Road, Henrico)

$100,000 winning raffle tickets were sold at:

  • Ticket #079309 (Food Lion, 15105 Patrick Henry, Amelia)
  • Ticket #217055 (Food Lion, 1029 South Main Street, Woodstock)
  • Ticket #334183 (Fifth Street Exxon, 1154 5th Street, SW, Charlottesville)
  • Ticket #404211 (7-Eleven, 4245 Winchester Road, Marshall)
  • Ticket #415658 (BJ’s, 12201 Bridgewood Crossing Drive, Midlothian)
  • Ticket #437563 (York Food Mart, 8102 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown)
  • Ticket #521879 (The Cave, 1397 Fincastle Turnpike, Tazewell)

An additional 1,000 tickets each won $500 in the game.  Those numbers are posted on the Virginia Lottery’s website at www.valottery.com.
