Two groups are partnering in a statewide effort to mobilize Latino voters in support of Vice President Kamala Harris’ bid for the White House.

The coalition of Juntos Por Virginia and the Democratic Latino Organization of Virginia aims to ensure the voices of Latinos in Virginia are heard and that their needs are addressed at the highest levels of government.

“Juntos Con Kamala” will work to engage, educate, and empower Latino communities across the Commonwealth.

The “Juntos Con Kamala” movement reflects the growing political influence of Latinos in Virginia and across the nation. Latinos are poised to play a decisive role in the upcoming presidential election.

Among the top issues for Latino communities are healthcare, education, immigration reform and economic opportunity.

The coalition will employ grassroots organizing with digital outreach and bilingual communication. The group plans to hold voter registration drives, organize phone banks, and do door-to-door canvassing.

“This election is not just about choosing a President and Vice President; it’s about standing up for the values that matter most to our communities, said the Democratic Latino Organization of Virginia in a statement. “We are committed to making sure every eligible Latino voter in Virginia has the information and motivation they need to cast their ballot.”

“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz represent the leadership we need to move this country forward. ‘Juntos Con Kamala’ is our way of ensuring that the momentum is on our side.”
