VIP event with Doug E. Fresh at Richmond Flying Squirrels game on July 4

richmond-squirrelsThe Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, announced that rap artist and legendary entertainer Doug E. Fresh will make a celebrity appearance at The Diamond on July 8 during the Squirrels game against the Harrisburg Senators (Nationals).

Mr. Fresh, the first human beat box in the rap world, will entertain fans in his trademark style. Doug E. will throw out a ceremonial first pitch as well as sign autographs for fans on the concourse during the game. He will also be available for a special VIP meet and greet session and buffet before the game.  Doug E. joins an already action packed July 4th homestand that includes Independence Day fireworks on July 4th & July 5th as well as a Hunter Strickland Bobblehead giveaway on Tuesday, July 7th.

“It’s an honor to have the original human beat box join us at The Diamond,” said Squirrels VP & Coo Todd “Parney” Parnell. “I’m looking forward to going back in time wih Doug.E. Fresh and then I want to teach him how to Parney!”

Tickets for the Doug E. Fresh appearance as well as the rest of the July 4th homestand are available at www.squirrelsbaseball.com/tickets VIP meet and greet tickets for Doug.E are $25 and include an all-you-can-eat buffet in the Little Caesar’s Party Pavilion before the game.

The promotional schedule for the July 4th week is the following:

  • Saturday, July 4th – Independence Day Celebration, Fireworks presented by United Health Care, Fas Mart & Food Lion
  • Sunday, July 5th  – Independence Day Celebration Fireworks, & Kids Club Sunday presented by United Health Care, Fas Mart & Food Lion
  • Monday, July 6th – Road to the Revolution- Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death
  • Tuesday July 7th Hunter Strickland Bobblehead  giveaway (first 2,000 all ages) presented by NBC 12
  • Wednesday, July 8th – Doug E. Fresh celebrity appearance
  • Thursday July 9th – In-Your-Face Fireworks & 90’s Night presented by Your Local Ford dealers.
